Aftermarket parts law in Ontario?

Does any one of a law that makes aftermarket parts illegal in Ontario as part of the campagn to stop street racers? I am wondering because I am buying my uncles 1981 corvette but due to the emissions law that year the engine had a drastic drop in power and wanted to upgrade everything to bring up to at least 350-400. Then my uncles was saying that if the cops have any reason to think your street racing and find aftermarket parts on your car they will impound it or even crush it.

you will be fine with that year , they only go after the aggressive drivers and speeders , and of coarse the street racers
